Thinning Shears №207

Thinning Shears №207

The Okatsune 207 are heavy-duty but lightweight (120 g) thinning shears. The pointed razor-sharp blades with a thickness of 3.3𝗆𝗆 are strong enough to cut small branches while thin enough to manoeuvre deep into the plant. This allows you to simply make a clean cut at the most difficult places to reach, without damaging surrounding stems. These shears are extremely suitable for cutting flowers because of the razor-sharp and pointed blades. These versatile shears can be best positioned between the category pruning shears and thinning shears. Okatsune thinning shears are the undisputed number 1 in Japan.

⋄ Made in Japan
⋄ Izumo Yasugi steel
⋄ Razor-sharp, always with a clean cut
⋄ Simple design for optimal ease of use
⋄ Ultra lightweight and yet particularly robust
⋄ Rockwell hardness 60.0-61.0
⋄ L: 190𝗆𝗆
⋄ Blade Length: 47𝗆𝗆
⋄ Blade thickness: 3.3𝗆𝗆
⋄ 120𝚐
⋄ Pairs with Okatsune's Holster

The blades of these Japanese shears are uniquely forged from the finest IZUMO YASUGI steel and have a very high Rockwell hardness of 60 to 61. Therefore, the blades stay sharp for a long time, and they consistently give a clean and precise cut in the wood without giving much effort. Furthermore, Okatsune combines hardness with a special flexibility so that the cutting blade always aligns with the counter blade, even after intensive usage.

The blade has been ground in two angles, so it will also smoothly cut through wood, and will not unnecessarily damage the plant. Due to the unique shape of the hollow ground blade the sap flows away from the blade, and the blades will not come apart. The V-shape of the spring ensures that the cutting load is distributed evenly over the length of the spring making for a soft closing action.

    Care:

The secateurs are constructed from a few components, so that there is hardly any maintenance required. It is recommended to clean the blades after each use. After cleaning it is recommended to oil the secateurs, and store moisture free with the cutting blades closed.
